SYNOPSIS

The girls living in the dormitory of the girls’ school had made it a daily ritual to compete over the dreams they saw each night in a game they called "Dream Comparisons."

One morning, Yumiko, distracted, accidentally shared one of her precious memories with the group. It was then that she suddenly realized—her cherished memory had been stolen. Where had the memory of her first love, floating on the moonlit sea, disappeared to?

Perhaps, among the several books I have written, this one will stand out as something truly special. Yet, I hold a deep fondness for this particular work.

It’s an odd thing to say, but when people are lying, they often reveal their truest selves.

—Shūji Terayama
